Is Faith leaving Emmerdale and what's wrong with her? Character shares cancer fears

Emmerdale revealed worrying scenes ahead for Faith Dingle, as she began experiencing pains in her body - but is she leaving the soap?

The character had been suffering with them for a while before pal Eric Pollard caught her collapsing in the café.

After she refused to get in an ambulance or go to the hospital, she was forced to admit it wasn't a new concern of hers.

He insisted that doctor Manpreet Sharma paid her a visit, unaware Faith had already confessed to her that she was having aches and pains that were not being relieved by pain killers.

Manpreet confirmed during Wednesday's episode that she'd managed to get her a scan and tests to be carried out on Thursday.

Faith was worried, secretly panicking her cancer had returned saying she knew her own body and knew that something was very wrong.

As she prepares to find out what is wrong with her, all the while keeping it from her family, viewers are worrying about what it might mean.

Emmerdale's Faith Dingle has been hiding her secret agony and health concerns, but now Eric knows (ITV)

Faith battled breast cancer before she arrived in the village a few years ago, and is now worried the cancer is back.

It's not yet clear where the storyline is heading for her, or what is happening with Faith.

Spoilers are keeping hush on the details, and whether Faith does have cancer or another condition that is causing her pain.

Whether the storyline could see the character exit the ITV soap and see Faith sadly die remains unknown, but fans are hoping she will be okay.

One viewer wrote: "Please let Faith be okay."

Another tweeted, hoping she would confide in her family: "Cain needs to give Faith a chance. I think he would if he knew about her health worries."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
