England are hosting Iceland tonight in a Nations League match which is effectively a friendly following their respective disappointing campaigns.
England are third in Group A2 and have no chance of qualifying for the semi-finals this time, where they lost to the Netherlands last year.
Iceland meanwhile are bottom of the group having failed to pick up a single point so far, and will be relegated to League B next time.
It means Southgate can use the game to rotate his tired squad which has several injuries, with Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson now sent home to recover.

For Iceland, Hordur Magnusson is suspended, while Ragnar Sigurdsson, Alfred Finnbogason, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Johann Berg Gudmundsson are set to be absent here as Erik Hamren takes charge of the team one last time.
