Is Cardiff vs Liverpool on TV? Live stream, team news and odds ahead of the Premier League clash

After advancing into the semi-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday night, Liverpool return to their bread and butter this weekend as they take on Cardiff looking to stay top of the Premier League table.

Jurgen Klopp's side comfortably overcame Porto in their last eight tie, to set-up a semi-final showdown with Barcelona - but focus will now return to the Reds ending their 29-year wait for a league championship.

A 2-0 win over Chelsea last Sunday moved the Reds back to the summit, a point ahead of second-place Manchester City, although Pep Guardiola's side do have a game in hand on the current table-toppers.

While Cardiff come into the game having picked up a huge three points themselves in midweek.

A goal in either half from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Sean Morrison handed the Blue Birds a 2-0 win over Brighton, which moved Neil Warnock's side two points behind Chris Hughton's men in the table.

And below is all the big information ahead of the clash.

Where is it and what time does the game kick-off?

The game takes place at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with kick off at 4pm.

Is it on TV?

Yes, the game is live on TV.

Coverage starts at 3:30pm on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with the game getting underway 30 minutes later.

Team News

The Reds picked up no new injuries in the midweek win over Porto - and were handed a huge boost with Joe Gomez making his long awaited return after five months out.

Dejan Lovren, who missed the clash in Portugal due to illness, is expected to be closely monitored ahead of the game in Wales.

But Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is expected to miss out as he continues his recovery from a serious knee injury.

While Harry Arter is expected to miss out for Cardiff, after the midfielder picked up a muscle injury against Burnley - with Sol Bamba, Callum Paterson and Jazz Richards all remain long-term absentees for the Blue Birds.

Who's the referee?

Martin Atkinson will be the man in the middle at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The 48-year-old has taken charge of five Liverpool games so far this season, with the Reds claiming a dramatic 2-1 win over Spurs in his latest.

Atkinson will be assisted by Stephen Child and Harry Lennard.
