Is Britain's Got Talent final live? Acts battle it out for 2020 crown

Britain's Got Talent bosses have revealed that this year's final won't be fully live.

The BGT final normally takes place in June but, due to the coronavirus pandemic throwing a huge spanner in the works this year, the semi-finals and final were pushed back into the autumn.

And, after the semis have had millions of viewers gripped for the past month, the remaining contenders for the 2020 crown will battle it out Saturday night.

At the time of writing we still only knew the identity of five of them - the acts chosen each week by the judges. They are: variety act Steve Royle; dancing duo Aaron and Jasmine;magical Bones; comedy singer and performer Jon Courtenay; and stand-up comedian Nabil Abdulrashid.

The identities of the acts voted through by the public will be revealed on Saturday evening.

Unlike in every other year, the finalists will NOT perform live on the night. All ten acts have pre-recorded their final performances for safety reasons, so the public choices will have performed before we even know who they are!

The final results will be live, with Ant and Dec hosting coverage as viewers get the chance to vote for their winner. The Britain's Got Talent champion will get a £250,000 prize a coveted spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance.

Last year's final was won by veteran singer Colin Thackery who melted the public's heart with performances of Wind Beneath My Wings, Supermarket Flowers and Love Changes Everything.

As well as the finalists, viewers at home will be treated to performances from the casts of Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and Mary Poppins as BGT presents a West End musical spectacular.
