Is Blade Coming? 'Marvel Rivals' Fans Theorize His Arrival After a Recent Easter Egg Change

There is no denying that one of Marvel's most notable characters is Blade, and his presence over different seasons of "Marvel Rivals" has prompted the question of when his official arrival to the game will be.

However, recent speculations from fans are now suggesting that his arrival as a playable character is nearing, particularly as the easter eggs that showed the character before have changed.

Is Blade Coming? 'Marvel Rivals' Fans Have Theories

Several speculations have been appearing online regarding which character from the Marvel universe is next to join the growing roster of "Marvel Rivals," and the most recent is Blade.

In a recent patch for the game, many players have noticed that the non-playable character (NPC) Blade is now missing in the spawn room of the Imperial Institute of Science where he was last seen.

Despite not being playable, Blade or Eric Brooks can be seen in the game as an NPC, and the character is best known for being in his complete costume alongside his iconic sword which he uses to slay vampires. However, the recent patch has removed Blade from his latest spot in the said institute, with the character known for sleeping in a comfortable bed amidst the firefight.

According to another rumor online, Blade is also among the characters that were speculated to join the game, but the list of characters mentioned still has unknown release schedules. Alongside Blade, the list also includes Jean Grey's Phoenix form, Professor X, Rogue, Gambit, Daredevil, and a new tank character.

Blade's Easter Egg Changes in 'Marvel Rivals'

According to GamesRadar, it has been a long time since players saw Blade's appearance as an NPC in the game, and the character has been present in the arena shooter since its first season.

Season 1 showed off Blade seemingly imprisoned in the Central Park map, and players could see the character kneeling and bound by shackles emanating a strange red glow. It was speculated that this was the doing of Dracula, an adversary of Blade's character but is also the main NPC antagonist of the season that featured the theme, "Eternal Night Falls."

Blade was moved to another location after the defeat of Dracula and when Season 2 came out. The character was relocated to Wakanda where he was placed in the Imperial Institute of Science and was still an NPC, but here, Blade is no longer imprisoned and is enjoying a bountiful rest in a chamber with a dedicated bed, with him not waking up despite the chaos.
