Is Bills OC Brian Daboll no longer in consideration for the Texans’ job?

The Houston Texans may have to cross out one of their coaching candidates and zero in on another target.

According to the Bills Wire, Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll is turning down the Philadelphia Eagles interview and is deciding to return to the Bills as their offensive coordiantor.

Daboll is also on the verge of taking part in something historic, too. The Bills have never been in the AFC Championship Game since the 1993 NFL playoffs, which was also the last time the team qualified for the Super Bowl, their last of four consecutive appearances. If the Bills get to the Big Game alone, it will be celebrated and revered by Bills Mafia.

With Daboll possibly out of the action, it means there aren’t any enticing candidates that come from the Bill Belichick coaching tree, or have connections to general manager Nick Caserio, who was with the New England Patriots in a variety of capacities since 2001. The Texans may have to go in another direction.
