Is Asos still delivering during coronavirus lockdown and what is its contact number

The country is now on lockdown for an initial three weeks meaning all non-essentials shops have been ordered to close.

The new rules were set out during last night’s announcement by the Prime Minister, however many shoppers are still unsure what this means for online fashion retailers.

Asos is one of the biggest online shopping stores, with many taking to Twitter to ask the retailer if they’ll still get their orders as usual and if it is accepting future ones too.

The ECHO reached out to Asos who confirmed its website would be operating as usual during the lockdown with delivery times remaining the same.

This means shoppers can still get next-day delivery on items if their postcode allows.

Asos is currently running its up to half price sale which includes discount on everything from loungewear to tailored suits.

Last week Asos used its official Twitter account to issue a statement assuring customers of the steps its offices and warehouses were putting in place during the coronavirus pandemic.

In the statement from Nick Beighton, ASOS CEO, said: "We're making decisions and acting quickly as we gain new facts.

"We're following official directives and advice. Most importantly, we're also protecting the safety of our team, customers, suppliers, delivery partners, and our communities at large.

"This is an uncertain time, but I want to reassure you of a few things we're doing. Our very own ASOSers are all working hard to ensure we keep giving you the service you know and love.

"Our fulfilment team is making every effort to ensure deliveries aren't affected, so you can keep on shopping without having to worry about not receiving your order.

"We'll also keep on inspiring and entertaining you with our content - we'll be on our channels 24/7 and the conversation with ASOS is always open.

"We're going to carry on doing us the best we can, and we hope you carry on doing you, whether you're social distancing, in self-isolation, or just trying to act more responsibly and act with kindness."

How to contact ASOS?

Like Asos has confirmed in the above statement, its teams will remain online which means the quickest way to contact Asos is on Twitter using its handle @ASOS_HereToHelp.
