Is Adam Vinatieri planning to retire?

Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri struggled for the second consecutive game to open the 2019 season in the 19-17 win against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Vinatieri, who missed two of three extra-point attempts against the Titans, told Indy media members that they “will see me tomorrow,” despite him not having any media obligations on Monday.

Whether Vinatieri plans to retire is speculation at this point, but given his age and recent struggles, it is certainly a possibility that the Colts hold a press conference for the 24-year veteran to announce his retirement.

Vinatieri has struggled this season. He’s 1-of-2 on field-goal attempts and 2-of-5 of extra-point attempts to begin the 2019 campaign.

It isn’t clear what will happen on Monday, but this is certainly a situation to monitor.
