With anticipation building around the upcoming Malayalam film L2: Empuraan, social media is abuzz with speculation about a mysterious character teased in the film's posters and trailer. The latest theory making waves suggests that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan may just be the man in the black suit.
The rumours gained momentum following ongoing speculation about who might be playing the antagonist. Initially, fans believed actor Fahadh Faasil was secretly cast in the film. However, the latest buzz states that the man in question could be Aamir. Fans shared old similar posters of Aamir from the film Dhoom, further fuelling speculation that it may just be the superstar.
Considering that Aamir's sister Nikhat Khan Hegde plays a major role in this film, it would not be too far-fetched to assume that the actor will feature in a special role.
Actor and filmmaker Prithviraj made headlines when he revealed that he was unaware that Nikhat was the Bollywood superstar's sister when he cast her. During a press meet, Prithviraj shared, "I said I liked her when I saw her audition. I said I wanted her. My casting director said, ‘Oh yeah, she’s wonderful. By the way, she’s also Aamir sir’s sister.’ I said, ‘Really?’ So then I called Aamir sir. I want to tell you, he just messaged me asking, ‘Is my sister good in the film?’ So I said, ‘Sir, she’s a lot better than good.’"
Those eager to see if Aamir does in fact feature in the film, then they will have to wait until March 27 when the film hits the big screen in time for the extended Eid weekend.
