Is a 'Rayman' 30th Anniversary Edition on Its Way?

To the surprise of the video game community, a 30th anniversary edition for "Rayman" has popped up on the Australian Classification Board.

This has caused a lot of significant buzz among fans as Ubisoft, the game's publisher, has never announced that such a game is in the works.

Australian Classification Board Rates 'Rayman' 30th Anniversary Edition

According to a report by Eurogamer, the Australian Classification Board has given the game the rating of "G" for its "very mild impact" violence.

The report also notes that Atari is listed as the game's developer and publisher. It will reportedly be released for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

The first "Rayman" game was released in 1995 for the Atari Jaguar. This makes last year the 30th anniversary of the franchise.

The Rumored 'Rayman Legends' Remake

Eurogamer points out that what has been rumored is that Ubisoft is working on a remake of "Rayman Legends." The game was released in 2013 initially for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Windows.

It was eventually made available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Stavia.

However, the game's future may be in jeopardy due to Ubisoft's "reset," which cancelled games such as the "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" remake.

Ubisoft has cancelled a total of six games but only explicitly named the "Prince of Persia" remake.
