Is a 12-team college football playoffs a good idea? We debated it

All those complaints about a four-team college football playoffs could be moot soon enough.

Per USA TODAY Sports, “the CFP management committee is expected to announce Thursday that it will consider a 12-team bracket.”

“Bill Hancock, the CFP’s executive director,” the report also read, “has previously stated that any changes to the format would not take place before the 2023 season.”

That’s right: we could go from just four teams to a dozen. And while that might seem like a more true playoff setup like we’ve seen in pro sports leagues … is it really a good idea to expand it to that many teams?
