A Castle Douglas bakers is setting the standard for biscuits.
Irvings Homestyle Bakery picked up a national gold and the best in region award at the Scottish Baker of the Year competition for their custard creams.
And they also achieved a regional bronze award in the same category for empire biscuits.
Owner Keith Irving said: “We are delighted and we have our customers to thank as it was their votes that got us here. Taking home such a prestigious prize is a huge honour.”
