Irvine Welsh has shared a hilarious Trainspotting parody of Renton’s 'Choose Life' rant on Twitter.
Created by Scottish film star Jack Lowden, the clip pokes fun at the absurdity of life in lockdown.
The Trainspotting author stated that he usually tends to get a "bit bored" by the parodies but added that as this one was for the NHS it was "all good".
Jack, who made his name starring in films such as Fighting with my Family and TV thriller Calibre, made the clip which recreates the now infamous Trainspotting opening scene, using props in his home.
It was first shown during the ‘For the Love of Scotland’ livestream, which was hosted by Edith Bowman and featured a slew of Scots celebrities raising funds for the Masks for Scotland appeal.
Over the course of the almost four-hour livestream, the show generated over £43,000 in donations from around the world eventually smashing their target of £200,000.
Masks for Scotland are now asking any community frontline workers who require PPE to email requests.masksforscotland@gmail.com .
Jack described the issue as "hugely important", stating that though the video was a bit of fun, it was for a "really good cause".
