Irvine Welsh has entered into a furious Twitter spat with presenter Piers Morgan .
The Trainspotting writer hit back after Morgan claimed Game of Thrones was 'fantastical over-hyped garbage' having never watched a single episode of the show.
He calls Morgan a 'dozy w*****' for slating the hit HBO show, loved by millions.
In a tweet to Morgan, Welsh said: "Never watch a second of it, yet knows it's over-hyped garbage.
"There's very little you can do with such a moron in the modern world other than give them a mainstream media/political platform to talk utter s**** and then deem them 'provocative' or 'controversial'."
Not one to leave an offensive tweet lie, Morgan replied saying: "I've never met you... but know you're an offensive little berk."
Welsh then claimed the Good Morning Britain host was 'wrong again' in a hilarious reply: "You're wrong again, you f****** dozy w*****. I'm 6ft 2, so offensive big berk, if you please."
Game of Thrones ended last night after eight season captivating audiences across the world with a legion of fans.
