Family-run business Fasprint is set to close its doors later this month following the news the managing director will retire.
Fasprint, which is based in the town's Ailsa Road, industrial estate, will close its doors on November 30 after the news Allan Morrison will retire.
Allan, 75, made the announcement in an email to his customers.
He said: "After much consideration, I have taken the decision to retire fully from the business. Having discussed the matter with my family and the team it has been decided the best option is simply to close the business allowing everyone involved to move on to new opportunities.
"As such I am writing to advise that Fasprint Services will no longer be accepting new business orders effective from Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
"All orders received by this date will be completed and delivered by December 20 thereafter we will be closed.
"We have had the pleasure to work with some great people and businesses over many years and the journey has been amazing, but as they say, sadly all good things come to an end.
"On behalf of everyone at Fasprint I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our incredible customers and suppliers for your loyalty and support over 39 years and wish you all every success for the future."
The printing company has been in the town since 1983 and has been printing the free Marymass programs since 1992.
Allan works alongside his three children.
Allan's daughter Julie McGougan added: "We're a family business and when my dad decided to retire and we decided to go along with him.
"Dad is looking forward to retirement, enjoying some holidays, and getting to play a bit more golf. We've loved our time working in the town and it's a good thing we have the opportunity to make this decision as a family.
"This year was our 30th year printing the Marymass program and at this point in life, we thought it was time to go."
