Irvine motorists are being warned about road closures due to take place in the area next month.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance will be carrying out routine maintenance works to sections of the A71 between Kilmarnock’s Moorfield roundabout and the Corsehillmount roundabout near Dreghorn.
The works, which include grass cutting and litter picking, will mean full closures of the road in both directions from 5am to 8pm on Saturday, June 8.
Full carriageway closures will also be in place on Sunday, June 16, between the Bellfield Interchange and Moorfield Roundabout in Kilmarnock. A carriageway closure will also be in place to the off /on ramps to B7038 Campbell Street, Kilmarnock.
The full carriageway closures and works will be signed for the duration of the works and a diversion each way will be in place.
Ayrshire Roads Alliance apologised for the inconvenience the work will cause but said these are essential maintenance works.
