Irvine Meadow launch fundraising campaign to refurbish iconic Main Stand

Irvine Meadow have launched a fundraising campaign to renovate their iconic main stand.

The club say the Meadow Park enclosure, built in 1961, is in obvious need of roof refurbishment and a steelwork re-paint job.

Now with the diamond anniversary of its construction approaching , Meadow have started a Stand Appeal to finance the project.

The club expects the required works to eat up a substantial amount of cash and are appealing for supporters and the community to become involved in securing the long-term future of Meadow Park.

There will be an open door invitation to any potential contributors at a meeting at Meadow Park on Tuesday, February 18 at 10am.

In recent years, great improvements have been made to the internal area of the Main Stand.

The refurbishing of the social club is a prime example and last year, a hospitality extension, the BL Lounge, was built onto the social club and a disabled toilet installed.

Most recently, much of the previously empty loft space has been transformed into a hospitality suite, and a History Wall has been put together, telling the story of Irvine Meadow XI in photographs
