Irvine Meadow co-boss James Latta admitted he was bitterly disappointed to leave Bellsdale Park with just a point after Saturday's goalless draw with Beith.
Meadow spurned a host of early chances and failed to capitalise on Larry McMahon's second half dismissal which saw Beith play the final 20 minutes with 10-men.
“We should have buried the game in the first 20 minutes, said Latta.
“We created some really good chances. We score one of them, we’re going to win by two or three.
“I don’t know if the boys heads went down at half-time because we didn’t get that goal.
“The second half was a bit scrappy and even when they went down to 10 men nothing really worked for us.
“It feels more like a defeat than a draw but that just shows how far we’ve came that we are expecting to win here.”
Beith keeper Dale Burgess played a big part in keeping Meadow at bay with some outstanding stops but Latta added: “You might say good saves but I say bad misses. I expect us to take those chances.”
