Irvine Meadow boss Brian McGinty urges players to give him one last big performance against Beith

Irvine Meadow boss Brian McGinty has called for one last big performance from his players as they look to finish the best of the Premiership’s promoted teams.

Meadow host Beith in their final league game of the season on Saturday, desperate for three points to put some distance between them and fellow top flight new boys Largs Thistle.

Meadow currently sit fifth in the table – 10 points ahead of Thistle having played four games more.

McGinty said: “We have to make it as difficult as possible for Largs to catch us and that means going all out for another three points.

“We want to finish ahead of them, that’s been our focus since consolidating our place in the league.

“Largs have a Scottish cup final to worry about and might not be too bothered about finishing behind us but we have to focus on the job in hand.”

McGinty hopes to welcome back defender Darren Miller who missed the midweek draw against Auchinleck.
