Mick Wardrope scored a stunning late goal to earn Meadow a share of the spoils - and take the heat off whistler Paul Timmons.
Wardrope's beautiful curling strike from the edge of the box in 88 minutes cancelled out Ross Alexander's first half opener for the visitors.
But Meadow should have been on level terms way before that after striker Brian Connor had a goal ruled out, despite the ball clearly crossing the line.
Referee Timmons failed to get a good view of the 47th minute flashpoint and with no linesmen to help him, waved play on.
In the end, a draw was probably a fair result with Rossvale showing great resilience to defend their lead, particularly during a difficult second half spell when Meadow were on top.
Meadow went into the friendly encounter looking to build on a midweek 2-1 win over Hurlford United.
And they started brightly, bombarding the Rossvale defence with crosses from either flank in the opening minutes.

New signing Sam McCloy almost got lucky with one in 15 minutes, backpedaling Rossvale goalkeeper Craig Gordon relieved to see the ball come back off his crossbar.
Gordon was called into action again in 21 minutes, this time showing great reflexes to deflect McCloy's first time strike away from danger.
It all looked fairly promising for the hosts, but Rossvale stunned them by racing up the park and taking the lead against the run of play.
With the Medda defence all at sea, Alexander kept his cool from 10 yards to lift the ball over horribly exposed keeper Marc Waters.
The rest of the half fizzled out with barely a shot on target at either end and Medda co-bosses James Latta and Colin Spence made their feelings clear by making a raft of changes at the break.
There was far more urgency about Meadow from the restart.
Substitute Connor's disallowed 'goal' failed to disrupt that early momentum, with Meadow doing all the early running albeit without overly troubling the Rossvale backline.

They survived a scare of their own in 64 minutes when sub keeper David Markey tipped a powerful header over the crossbar.
But that aside, the visitors were doing their best work at the other end to keep Meadow at bay.
Connor, Jamie Martin and Fraser McMillan all had chances before Wardrope finally broke Rossvale's resistance.
The midfielder twisted and turned 18 yards from goal to make room for a fabulous curling strike that found the bottom corner of the net.
Meadow wrap up their pre-season campaign next week with friendlies against Johnstone Burgh (Wednesday) and Kilwinning Rangers (Saturday).
