Irvine event will support the area's unpaid carers

A drop-in session for unpaid carers is being held in Irvine to mark Carers Rights Day next week.

The event will take place on Thursday, November 14, in Irvine’s Bridgegate House from noon to 1.30pm.

It is being hosted by North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership’s carers team, in conjunction with Unity Carers Centre in Irvine.

Whether you are a new carer or have been caring for someone for a while, it’s important that you understand your rights and are able to access the support that is available to you when you need it.

The session will also be open to North Ayrshire Council staff and managers who would like to learn more about the best ways to support colleagues or staff who may also have a role as an unpaid carer.

If you can’t make it along on the day and would like to find out more, contact North Ayrshire Carers Centre on 01294 311333 or email northayrshire.carers@unity-enterprise.com.
