In a case worthy of Ireland's Dumbest Criminals, an intruder was foiled after his bicycle was stolen as he attempted to rob a Chinese takeaway on Tuesday.
The ridiculous incident took place at around 4pm on Tuesday afternoon in Rialto.
Security footage of the incident shows the wannabe thief attempt to hurdle the counter of the restaurant before realising that another opportunistic crook has taken the getaway bike he left outside, Dublin Live reports.
The man then tackles a delivery driver who is entering the shop as he attempts to leave.
But she is aided by a heroic colleague, who grabs a hurl from behind the counter to subdue the robber.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live that they attended the incident but "no offenses have been disclosed".
