In recent months, the food and drinks industry have been facing serious stock shortages with some having to cease trading temporarily.
Fast-food chain McDonald's recently ran out of milkshakes whilst KFC and Nando's were hit with chicken supply issues.
As a result, the Peri-Peri chicken chain had to shut three restaurants in Glasgow alone - not knowing when they could start trading again.
In addition to food chains and supermarkets who have been facing issues for months, Coca Cola and Irn-Bru are also among those being impacted by shortages - again as a result supply chain issues.
AG Barr, who are responsible for Scotland's national drink, stated they are facing "increased challenges" with its haulage fleet due to Covid which is "impacting customer deliveries and inbound materials".
In an update, a spokesperson from AG Barr told Glasgow Live: "Like lots of businesses we're experiencing some issues associated with driver shortages across the UK.
"In Scotland we are able to use more of our own fleet and our dedicated team across our supply chain is working hard to make sure the Bru gets through."
Industry bosses have now warned that the next few months will be a pinching point for the shortage of qualified HGV drivers - delayed due to the pandemic and made worse by new rules after Brexit.
