Irn-Bru nails new campaign as fans heap on praise for Irn Screw ad

If you've never heard of Irn Bru , you'd have to excuse us for thinking you had a screw loose.

Scotland's other national drink has gained a reputation as being one of the cheekiest - and most delicious- brands in the country and their weird and wonderful adverts nearly always hit the mark.

And their latest ad was no exception.

Last night social media went wild for AG Barr's new TV campaign where the slogan is "Irn-Screw: Get some Irn in you".

The online video, which appeared on YouTube yesterday, shows a metal screw plotting to nick a can of the orange fizz.

The crazy scene shows two metal screws bickering as one plots to come loose from the wall and tip the shelf it is holding up in a crafty bid to steal the can of Irn Bru from the lad sitting below.

As the shelf smacks him on the head, the lad drops his drink and the screw falls into the puddle of Irn-Bru on the floor.

Glasgow busker inspired by Susan Boyle hopes to become Scotland's newest BGT star

Fans of the the Scots fizz took to Twitter to praise the new clip.

One user tweeted: "Say what you want but Irn-Bru will ALWAYS have the best ads."

Another said:  "That’s proper funny! I love the fact you even put in ‘wheeeeeee!’"

A third simply replied: "Nailed it."

A fourth added: "Oscar time. Break out the ginger tux."
