Irn-Bru daft Vamps star Connor Ball asks Scots fans to petition for more of drink in England

Vamps star Connor Ball has asked fans to petition for more Irn Bru in English shops.

Connor , who was born in Aberdeen to Scottish mum Kelly, who married Simon Ball, and his biological dad Stuart Stephen, has always spoken fondly of his home comforts.

He said in the past: "I try and take hints of Scotland home with me and on nights out I actually have a Vodka Irn-Bru! That’s my go to."

Although he moved to Birmingham when he was younger, Connor has always loved his Irn Bru, even inspiring fan fiction about his passion for the drink.

The rest of his Vamps bandmates Bradley Simpson, guitarist James McVey, and drummer Tristan Evans even joked they had Irn Bru for Breakfast when they play Scotland.

The lads are hopeful they can tour their lockdown album Cherry Blossom around the UK next year, but in the meantime, it looks like Connor is pining for a taste of home,

He took to his social media to say: "Petition for Irn Bru to be stocked in more English shops Scottish gang, a guy needs a lil help here."

Fans were only too willing to help their favourite bassist out.

One volunteered: 'Live on the South coast and there's plenty on sale here! Even got to see an Irn Bru truck, in all its resplendent blue and orange colours, drive through the town."

And another person admitted: "No clue what that is but I’ll sign."

Another said: 'It’s an addiction. Give him what he wants."

One keen Scot offered: "I mean I live in Scotland. I could just buy crates of it for you if you’d like."

And another suggested: "Make a http://change.org and make everyone sign it ahaha x"

Connor's plea did not fall on deaf ears with Irn Bru bosses who saw his Tweet and swiftly replied: 'More and more shops in England are stocking us, but for now we've got you send us a DM"

If only everything could be that simple.
