Irishman missing in Brazil found alive and well as wife thanks public for support

An has been found alive and well, his wife has confirmed.

George Graham Matthew, 28, from Dún Laoghaire, Dublin, vanished at around 5pm on Saturday.

His wife Camila Cristina thanked the public for their support.

However, she claimed he got robbed after getting "completely lost".

She posted: "Guys I just have to say thank you for all the support and love that we received.

"We found him, he got completely lost and got robed, we going to police to get all the charges.

"But thank you god he is alive and well. Thank you all."

He went missing after he went to the gym where he lives in the port city of Itajaí in the state of Santa Catarina.

Camila previously said she was “very worried” as he went out without a mobile phone and that he doesn’t speak Portuguese.

She posted details of his disappearance on her Facebook account in a bid to trace the Irishman.
