Whether its music, business, beauty or blogging, women are rising to the top of the world’s global rich lists – and they’re doing it younger than ever.
Female superstars Beyonce, Kylie Jenner and Rihanna are on track to becoming billionaires according to Forbes magazine, leaving the men in their industries trailing behind.
Here in Ireland, young women are breaking the glass ceiling in every arena from business to entertainment.
These Irish females under 40 are either self-made millionaires already or well on their way to getting there:
1 Saoirse Ronan
At just 26, the Carlow-raised Irish actress has four Academy award nods under her belt.
Saoirse has starred opposite Hollywood royalty including Meryl Streep and Susan Sarandon
As her star rises, so do her pay checks - the Greystones-based performer’s current net worth is said to be over €5.9 million.
2. Maura Higgins
She may not have bagged the £50k Love Island prize, but it’s small change compared to what the Irish reality star has earned since leaving the villa last year.
Presenting gigs on This Morning and a stint on Dancing on Ice are said to have earned the mouthy model, 29, over €165,000.
Meanwhile the Longford native’s collaborations with Ann Summers, Boohoo and tanning brand Bellaminta are worth an estimated €830,000.
3. Pippa O’Connor
The Irish former model, 36, had many good reasons to ditch the catwalk and launch her own denim brand in 2016 - 50,000 to be exact.
That’s how many pairs of branded POCO jeans Pippa’s company sold in its first 15 months – earning the Kildare mum-of-two over €850,000.
But be warned that copying this influencer’s style doesn’t come cheap - her latest collection dropped this week featuring biker jackets for €295 a pop.
4. Cecelia Ahern
Bertie Ahern’s daughter became a millionaire at the tender age of 21 after getting a ground-breaking €1 million advance to write her debut novel ‘PS I Love You’.
Cecelia has 17 books, two Hollywood movies and a number of TV and theatre projects to her name.
At just 38 years of age, she is worth well over €10 million.
5. Vogue Williams
With more than 800,000 Instagram followers, the 34-year-old stunner from Howth in Dublin has a reported net worth of more than €1.2 million.
Following her TV debut on Fade Street and a short-lived marriage to Brian McFadden, Vogue won UK reality show Bear Grylls: Mission Survive and appeared on The Jump, where she met second husband Spencer Mathews.
The pair have just welcomed their second baby and first girl Gigi Margaux.
6. Suzanne Jackson
The Skerries-born blogger-turned-businesswoman has created a multimillion euro lifestyle empire since launching her SoSueMe blog back in 2010.
The 34-year-old entrepreneur has sold over two million sets of her famous false eyeglasses while raking profits of over €900,000 a year.
In 2018, she and hubby Dylan O’Connor shelled out €1.8 million on a mansion in Malahide.
7. Laura Whitmore
Ever since getting her first big break as an MTV presenter in 2008, the Bray beauty has risen to become one of the UK’s top TV and radio stars.
Laura has fronted two of TV’s biggest reality shows, I’m A Celebrity Spinoff and Winter Love Island - as well as competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016.
