A Dublin councillor was left gobsmacked after a number irregularities with a 99 ice-cream she ordered.
Cllr Carolyn Moore has Twitter stunned after she showed a picture of her cone claiming it was "prepared by a maniac".
The ice-cream in question, firstly, did not have a flake but instead a kinder-bueno stuck in the top of it - maybe owing to the reported flake shortage earlier this summer.
And secondly, appeared to be hollow on the inside after a few bites, as Carolyn's picture shows.
She tweeted: "Today I had a 99 prepared by a maniac. Exhibit A: It had a Kinder Bueno in it instead of a Flake. Exhibit B: It was hollow in the middle. The prosecution rests."
She added in the replies: "It seems the Flake shortage is real, but the technique... has to be deliberate right? It would surely be more difficult to pull a cone that looks perfect but is hollow inside?"
One fellow Twitter user claimed that his old boss used to ask them to make them that way as it "saved ice-cream".
While most others simply replied in disgust at the formation of the cone.
