Ireland looks set to be hit by wintry showers on Wednesday and Thursday as temperatures plummet to freezing again.
This weekend will see a mixed bag with rain, hail and thunder all expected.
Meanwhile, a weather advisory has been issued for 15 counties as Ireland braces for days of heavy rain.
A Met Eireann spokesman said: "More persistent rain will spread from the Atlantic in the afternoon and evening with some heavy bursts. A clearance to showers following from the west later this evening.
"Mild but turning windy with gales developing near western and southern coasts. Highs of 10C or 11C.

"Tomorrow will bring sunny spells and occasional showers. Some of the showers will be heavy with hail, and a risk of thunder. Top temperatures 7C to 9C in fresh gusty west winds, strengthening in the afternoon and evening with gales along Atlantic coasts.
"Wet and windy on Monday. Rain will become widespread in the morning, falling as sleet and hill snow for a time in parts of Ulster.
"The rain will be heavy, especially in Atlantic coastal counties, with some spot flooding, but a transition to showers will extend from the west in the afternoon.
"Winds will be fresh to strong and gusty Southerly veering west to southwest, with coastal gales. Mild with afternoon highs of 9C to 13C, but it will be cold in Ulster at first.
"Tuesday will be windy and blustery with bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. Max 7C to 11C.
"Trending colder on Wednesday and Thursday with night-time frosts returning. Daytime max around 6C to 7C and nights close to freezing. A mix of sunny spells and showers, some wintry with hail. Strong winds at times too."
