Irish weather forecast: Warm, humid Tuesday ahead with highs of 23C

Ditch the jacket because it's set to be the warmest day of the week with highs of 23C and warm humid conditions expected.

However, despite the high temperatures, parts of the country will see more clouds than sunshine.

It will be cloudy in northern areas with Munster and South Leinster enjoying the best of the sunshine.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Skies will be cloudier further north with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle throughout the day.

"It will be a warm and humid day with top temperatures of 19C to 23C, highest in the south. Light breezes."

Looking ahead to tomorrow, similar conditions are expected but there will be little in the way of sunshine.

Met Eireann said: "Mostly cloudy on Wednesday with occasional outbreaks of rain and drizzle through the day, increasing by evening time. Highs of 18C to 22C in light breezes."

We'll see similar temperatures on Thursday after some outbreaks of rain in the morning. A few showers will develop in the afternoon but there will continue to be good sunshine into the evening time.

It will feel fresher in westerly breezes and highs of 18C to 22C.

And Friday is expected to be "a bright day with good sunshine, especially during the morning".

Showers will break out by afternoon but these will tend to be well scattered. Highs of 18C to 21C in northwest breezes.
