Met Eireann say this weekend will bring "unsettled" conditions with rain and wind.
The national forecaster has warned of "persistent" and "heavy" outbreaks of rain on Sunday after a period of largely dry weather.
However, it will also turn milder, with highs of up to 15C expected.
Wednesday will remain dry but cloudy with highs of 8C to 11C.
A forecaster said: "Mostly dry, with some bright spells, but scattered light showers will occur, most of them in the northern half of the country.
"Patchy rain and drizzle will develop on north and northwest coasts this evening."
It'll be chilly again tonight with lows of 1C to 6C before another cloudy day on Thursday.
Thursday will see isolated showers and drizzle in the north and northwest but it will remain largely or completely dry in south Leinster and parts of Munster.
The mercury will drop to as low as freezing point overnight.
Heading towards the weekend, Met Eireann revealed we can expect "unsettled" conditions.
A forecaster said: "Becoming gradually more unsettled, especially from Sunday onwards, but becoming relatively mild."
Friday will see some dry intervals and scattered showers with highs of 8C to 11C.
However, Saturday night will see heavy rainfall in Munster and "strong and gusty" winds in coastal areas.
Looking ahead to Sunday, Met Eireann said: "Outbreaks of rain will extend gradually from the southwest and west, persistent in places, with some heavy bursts.
"Very windy also, with strong and gusty southerly winds."
But the good news is temperatures will be mild with highs of 11C to 14C or 15C.
Clearer, colder conditions, with scattered showers, will follow from the west later Sunday and Sunday night, but showers may merge to give longer spells of rain in the northwest
Overnight lows will dip to 2C to 5C.
