Irish weather forecast: Torrential rain to hit Europe as Ireland stays in the clear

Irish weather is set to experience dry spells as torrential rain covers Europe.

Scattered showers took over the north of the country today but are expected to clear overnight with a few mist patches.

Tomorrow will be mainly dry with higher temperatures of up to 18C.

Met Eireann said: “Scattered showers will develop from late morning onwards.”

Conditions tomorrow will dry overnight calm conditions and light variable breezes.

Wednesday looks similar with mainly dry weather and one or two isolated showers.

There will also be some bright and sunny spells with temperatures reaching 18C.

The forecaster said: “Later in the day, cloud will increase from the Atlantic with outbreaks of rain developing in Western parts and then the rainy weather becoming more widespread overnight.”

Longer spells of rain are due to hit on Thursday but will quickly be gone by Friday where the patchy rain is to clear and make way for a few brighter spells developing.

The UK along with with most of Europe are set to experience downpours of rain today and tomorrow which will ease of by the end of the week.

Central and Eastern Europe are to expect heavy flooding, downpours and are warned of potential travel issues.
