A status orange fire warning is in place until Tuesday, as fire brigades throughout the country battled gorse and hay fires.
The Department of Agriculture issued the status orange forest fire warning due to the heightened risk of fires over the weekend.
The Department warned that areas covered in gorse, heather, dried grasses and those associated with turf cutting are most likely to be at risk, and warned the public to remain vigilant.
Thankfully, fire crews were able to contain fires that took place throughout the weekend.
In Dublin and Wicklow, fire crews battled gorse and grass fires throughout Saturday.

Fire Crews from Blessington and Dunlavin fought a large gorse and grass fire at Ballyfolan in the Kippure valley on Saturday afternoon.
According to crews, the smoke plume could be seen in Dublin and east Wicklow.
Dublin Fire Brigade tackled a number of brush fires along the southern edge of the city, including a gorse fire near the Hellfire club.
Meanwhile, in Co Monaghan, fire brigades from Carrickmacross and Castleblayney attended a hay barn fire on Saturday night, the second to take place in one week.
Ireland will be hotter than Ibiza on Easter Monday as a mini-heatwave looks set to continue.
Last week, Met Eireann predicted that temperatures would drop to 12C on Monday.
However, the national forecaster now says parts of the country will see highs of 22C - making it warmer than the Spanish island.

A spokesman said: "It will be warm and dry tomorrow in most areas with spells of sunshine.
"It may stay rather dull along some south and southeast coasts with fog patches.
"Also, a few isolated showers will develop in the afternoon and evening.
"Highest temperatures will range between 18C to 22C, but it will be cooler along south and southeast coasts with 14 to 17 degrees.
"Southeast winds will be mostly moderate and locally fresh near some coasts."
Monday night will be warmer than previous nights, with lowest temperatures to range between 8C and 10C.
It should be another mostly dry night apart from some outbreaks of rain.
A spokesman added: "Monday night will be dry apart from a few scattered outbreaks of rain. Lowest temperatures of 8C to 10C in light southeast breezes."
