Met Eireann has warned of poor driving conditions across the country, with heavy rain falling across much of Ireland.
We will be drenched by showers throughout much of Wednesday, with warnings of heavy wind and hail showers also forecast.
The wet conditions will continue overnight but are expected to gradually clear up towards the end of the week.
Showers will continue to be widespread on Wednesday and commuters have been warned to be careful on the roads as driving conditions are poor.

Temperatures are expected to be between 9 and 12 degrees today (WED), dropping to 4 to 6 degrees tonight.
Heavy rainfall will continue until tomorrow (THURS) night when lighter showers will develop until the weekend.
A pleasant change may be on the way this weekend, with forecasters predicting that temperatures could reach as high as 16 degrees by Sunday.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: “The rain will be heaviest in eastern and southern coastal counties, with poor driving conditions at times.
"Mist will form and thicken into fog in places, with some grass frost also.”
Wind is also set to continue throughout the course of the week, with grass frost to set in tomorrow (THURS) night.
Hotter weather will make its return early next week with temperatures rising and dry conditions for the country.
A Met Eireann forecaster added: “Current indications suggest a lot of dry, settled weather, with spells of sunshine and temperatures normal or a little above.”
