Parts of Ireland will record freezing temperatures on Thursday night - and it could get even colder this Bank Holiday Weeknd.
Met Eireann is forecasting a cool few days with a mix of sunshine and rain ahead of an "icy" weekend with "distinctly chilly nights".
Thursday will be mainly dry and sunny, apart from some heavy rainfall in the west - where hail showers could possibly hit.
Afternoon highs will range between 9C and 12C, before temperatures plummet to as low as 0C on a frosty night.

A forecaster said: "Thursday night will be dry and cold in most areas with frost forming and possibly also some patches of mist and shallow fog.
"Lowest temperatures down to zero in places. But cloud and rain will push into more southern areas by dawn Friday."
Met Eireann has warned of a risk of thunderstorms and flooding for some areas on Friday morning, after rain begins to spread northwards.
The forecaster added: "Rain will quickly spread northeast to all areas during the morning with fresh south or southeast winds.
"The rain will be heavy, continuous and locally thundery across the south and east especially and may give localized flooding.
"The rain will become confined to parts of Munster and south Leinster overnight. Cold elsewhere, with slight ground frost."
Daytime temperatures this weekend will be extremely low for this time of the year, with highs not exceeding 7C in some areas.

Ahead of the long weekend, a Met Eireann spokesman said: "Generally dry apart from a few coastal showers mainly in the north.
"Good sunny spells by day, but with typical afternoon temperatures only ranging 7 to 10 degrees.
"The nights will be distinctly chilly with slight air and widespread sharp ground frosts, with the risk of icy patches."
