Irish weather forecast: Met Eireann warn heavy rain on the way after dry bank holiday weekend

Make the most of the dry conditions this bank holiday weekend because wetter weather is on the way next week.

After dry conditions with a “weekend for walking and great for activities but not necessarily for sunbathing” forecasters predict that next week is set to bring wetter conditions.

“As we go through next week it’s a gradual breakdown into more showery wetter weather”, a Met Eireann forecaster said.

“At the moment it’s a little bit uncertain”, she said.  “Originally it was looking like it might be windy but at this stage now we’re looking at wetter conditions.
