Irish weather forecast: Met Eireann predicts temperatures will soar this weekend with highs of 15C

Met Eireann has revealed that temperatures are set to soar all over the country later this weekend and into the start of next week.

The mercury will reach highs of 15C on Sunday as the bitterly cold conditions of earlier in the week make way for a period of largely dry and bright weather.

Temperatures will remain in the mid teens by Monday, although the bright spells will be accompanied by scattered showers.

However there will be a slight cold snap on Saturday as freezing temperatures overnight bring a risk of frost, but that is expected to clear by Sunday.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Cold overnight on Saturday, with clear spells and with some frost in rural areas.
