A dry and sunny day is in store for most of Ireland on Thursday.
Met Eireann is forecasting a hot September day, with temperatures of up to 20C expected.
It will become more cloudy in the west and north in the evening. Rain and drizzle may also fall in those areas early on Thursday night.
Highest temperatures will range from 16C to 20C in the afternoon.
A forecaster said: "Dry in most places today with sunny spells, and top temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.
"Cloud will thicken in the west and north this evening and outbreaks of rain and drizzle will push in from the Atlantic early tonight.
"Mostly moderate westerly breezes will be fresh to strong and gusty near west and northwest coasts."
No parts of Ireland will experience heavy rain showers overnight, but winds may become gusty along the the western coasts.
Temperatures on Thursday night will remain mild - ranging from 10C to 13C. Mist patches and fog may occur early on Friday morning.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the west and north will gradually extend elsewhere tonight and overnight in freshening west to southwest winds, strong and gusty at the coasts.
"A transition to clear spells and showers will take place in parts of Connacht and Ulster before dawn as winds veer northwesterly.
"Lows of 10 to 13 degrees. Mist patches, and hill and coastal fog will also occur."
