"Top temperatures 17 to 21 degrees, but a few degrees cooler in the coastal fringes of the east and south. Light winds and sea breezes.

"Dry overnight with thickening cloud in the west and northwest. Lowest temperatures 6 to 10 degrees. A few patches of mist will form in the light, variable breezes."

It will be a misty start to Saturday, but the morning fog is expected to clear to make way for another warm and dry day.

"Long spells of hazy spring sunshine look likely to prevail through much of Leinster and Munster.

"Thicker cloud in Ulster and Connacht though, will produce some patchy rain or drizzle there by the end of the day.

"Top temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, but a few degrees cooler under the cloud in parts of west and northwest.

"Light winds. Variable cloud amounts with patchy light rain, drizzle and mist extending southeastwards over the country, but occasional clear intervals occurring also.

"Lows of 5 to 8 degrees in the west and north, 9 to 11 degrees further south and east. Light northwest or variable breezes."

However, the weather will take a turn for the worst on Sunday and Monday as temperatures drop and longer spells of rain hit.
