Irish Village Markets brings delicious food vendors to south Dublin locals and workers

Irish Village Markets is gathering amazing food vendors in yet another Dublin location.

The popular market just launched their first lunchtime market at The Oval in Dublin 4.

The place was alive with flavours and aromas as attendees enjoyed delectable treats on Wednesday afternoon.

Des Vallely of Irish Village Markets spoke to Dublin Live about the inaugural event at The Oval, which will now take place every Wednesday.

He said: "We had five stalls and it wasn't too busy as it's Easter and people are away. But we're expecting it to get busier as the weeks go on and people get to know about it.

"There was no market at this location before so it's great. We had a band playing as well. There were balloons and music and it was just a really nice atmosphere.

"About two and a half years ago, we had a one day festival there where we put on music, had raffles, food stalls, the whole lot. We liked that idea so much that once Covid was sort of over, we started talking about putting the market in. I think it was that one day event that kicked off the idea of doing it once a week.

"We had burgers, falafels, Thai food and more.

"We had The Drunken Cookie. Her cookies are amazing. They taste great."
