Irish TV chef Catherine Fulvio missed out on a Daytime Emmy Award in California on Sunday night.
However, the excited Co.Wicklow woman, who was nominated in the Outstanding Culinary Host category said she was delighted to get to experience the star studded event.
Posing from the red carpet with her daughter Charlotte, she wrote: “On the red carpet [at the] DaytimeEmmys what an experience!
“Delighted to be nominated at Best Culinary Host for my TV series A Taste Of Ireland.”
She also posted snippets of her LA outings in the run up to the evening, from her fittings in Beverly Hills to TV interviews on KTLA.
The Wicklow-based cook and presenter was shortlisted in the Outstanding Culinary Host category for her show A Taste of Ireland: Ballyknocken Cookery School on Food TV.
She lost out on the award to Valerie Bertinelli for Valerie’s Home Cooking on the Food Network.
The same show also won the Outstanding Culinary Program award.
The annual awards show took place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday.
Other winners crowned on the night included The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show category and LIVE with Kelly and Ryan, Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest’ show in the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host category.
There was also emotional scenes and an auditoriam wide standing ovation when presenter Alex Trebek won the award for for Jeopardy! in the Outstanding Game Show host category.
The 78-year-old presenter recently announced that he had been diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer.
