An Irish tourist has died in a tragic fall from a moving train in Thailand, local media has reported.
The man who has been named in local media reports as Patrick Ward was 45 years of age and was in Thailand on a tourist visa. He is said to have arrived for his trip on St Stephen's Day.
The man was on board a train with a tour group from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi on Tuesday when it's understood he fell from the train which had slowed down at a scenic spot on the journey.

Local media report he may have been taking a photograph when the tragedy occurred.
He reportedly fell seven or eight metres from the carriage down a slope.
The horror incident was reportedly captured by another tourist in the area. Mr Ward was an Irish citizen who was born in New Zealand.
A post-mortem is due to take place in Bangkok.
A Department of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman said: "The Department of Foreign Affairs is aware of the case and stands ready to provide consular assistance."
