An Irish tourist has died in Thailand after falling from a moving train.
Patrick Ward, 45, was on a train with a tour group from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi on Tuesday when the tragedy happened. Ward was visiting Thailand on a tourist visa and had arrived into the country on St Stephen's Day.
Ward reportedly fell from the train after it had slowed down at a scenic spot. Local media said he may have been taking a photograph when the incident happened.

He reportedly fell seven or eight metres from the carriage down a slope, the Irish Mirror reports. Ward was an Irish citizen who was born in New Zealand.
A post-mortem is due to take place in Bangkok. A Department of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman said: "The Department of Foreign Affairs is aware of the case and stands ready to provide consular assistance."
