Irish TikTok lad recreates heartbreaking Love Actually scene about pub closures

An Irish lad on TikTok has recreated a heartbreaking Love Actually scene about the pub closures this Christmas.

Eric Roberts acted out the cards on the doorstep scene from the classic 2003 movie, and he captured the hearts of many people from far and wide.

He captioned it: “Whoever needs to hear it, Merry Christmas.”

While silent night played on the boombox, a disappointed Eric showed a series of messages that read: “Say it’s carol singers. I just wanted to say, they may have closed the pubs early. But…They can never close the craic!”

The heartwarming TikTok has gone viral with nearly 6000 likes since it was uploaded four days ago, it has also been viewed over 72,000 times.

He truly made the iconic British film scene traditionally Irish, with people all over the world commenting.

One said: “How did I end up on Irish TikTok and pls TikTok Gods, what do I have to do to stay? It’s fun here.”

Another added: “I’m American but Slainte!”

A third posted: “Love my Irish heritage. Such a beautiful country and people. Slainte!”

But unfortunately, someone did ask: “What is craic?”
