An Irish Tik Tok account is causing quite the stir online after pointing out the “handiest” feature at Dublin Bus stops most people didn’t know about.
The account, with the username @mylenerj, has garnered nearly 200,000 viewers after posting the video online a couple of days ago.
She pointed out that there are actually charging docs on the side of sheltered bus stops and says “knowing this fact makes paying €2.30 not as bad.”
They are hidden away in the actual structure of the sheltered bus stop, so it’s understandable that many people are shocked.
It seems she wasn’t the only one unaware of the USB ports, and thousands of people have been responding.
One user wrote: “Wait, what!? I get two buses to and from the office, going to be searching..shocked I didn’t know”
Another person said: “That’s the handiest thing ever… when did this even happen?”
Among the hundreds of comments, a third account said: “Jesus bus stops have come a long way since I lived in Dublin.”
After looking into the sly feature it’s understood that most of the ports are installed at the TFI bus stops and not all general Dublin Bus services stops.
