A young Irishman has tragically died after a suspected fall in New York City.
The college student, from the Midlands, was pronounced dead on Thursday night.
It's believed the man, in his early 20s, was on a holiday visa with pals and was due to graduate in the coming months.
It's understood his parents are flying out to New York to formally identify his body.
Police in New York confirmed the death to the Irish Mirror on Friday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for the NYPD said: "We can not confirm the identity at this time until we ensure there was a proper family notification in regard."
The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed it is aware of the incident and are "providing consular assistance".
