Irish star Saoirse Ronan looks smitten as she is spotted hand-in-hand with actor Jack Lowden

Saoirse Ronan is off the market after she was spotted hand-in-hand with Scottish actor Jack Lowden.

The 25-year-old looked smitten and smiled admiringly at her Mary Queen Of Scots co-star as they walked back from a grocery shop near her home in West london over the weekend.

The new snaps confirm the duo are an item despite both recently dodging questions about their relationship.

They shared some steamy on-screen sex scenes while starring in Mary Queen Of Scots in 2018 when Saoirse starred as Mary Stuart while Jack played the queen’s husband lord Darnley.

And in a previous interview with Refinery 29, Saoirse said she was very at ease while filming intimate moments with Jack.

Despite having previously filmed sex scenes in other movies such as Ladybird and Brooklyn, her experience with Jack was a lot more intimate than any other previous roles she admitted.

Saoirse said: “We choreographed the whole thing so it felt like a dance.

“Jack and I are very comfortable with each other. We looked after each other.”

Rumours the co-stars were more than friends circulated after a picture showed the pair getting cosy at a party in New York last year.

But when asked just last month about their relationship, Saoirse warned reporters not to go there and replied: “Nooo, just no.”

While Jack – who is also known for roles in war movie Dunkirk and the BBc’s adaptation of War & Peace – previously refused to address the rumours, saying he “didn’t like talking about that side of life”.
