Fresh from touring Ireland and the UK with R & B star Maverick Sabre, Irish sibling duo 'Zestra' are out to make a name for themselves as they host their first ever solo gig in Dublin this month.
The youthful duo - fronted by Avril Meade, 23 and her sister Lorna, 20 from East Wall, Dublin will take to the stage for their debut gig at the Bleecker Street Cafe on 22 August.
Having performed in front of thousands in cities such as London, Manchester and Liverpool and their native Dublin, the girls will be performing in an intimate gig for fans at the cosy north Dublin venue.
The pair are currently working on releasing their first single which will be out later this year.
Speaking ahead of their upcoming gig, Avril says that performing with well-known star Maverick Sabre was a fantastic opportunity which they will now look to build upon as they attempt to launch their music careers.
Avril said: "Getting the chance to tour with Maverick Sabre was such an amazing unbelievable experience.
"He is such an incredible person both inside and out. He really made us feel like a part of the family while on tour.
"We got to see the ins and outs of how a live show runs and we now have the confidence to hold our own gigs.
"Getting to experience the energy of the crowd at such huge venues made us realise that these are the moments that we live for.
"We're really looking forward to releasing our first single soon and hope that we can attract a good crowd for our first gig."
Lorna added: "We can't wait to get going later this month and encourage anyone in Dublin who wants to come and see an upcoming local band to come out and show us some support."
