A shop in Galway has hit back after one customer claimed their refund policy was a "rip-off."
The customer posted a receipt of a battery that was purchased in The eCig Store in Townparks, Tuam, in Co Galway.
The customer then said they could get the battery somewhere else for €39.99 and attempted to get their money back, Galway Beo reported.

The customer put the post as "Rip Off Galway" and said they were "Charged €65 for a battery pack that's available in other Irish stores for €39.95."
They then claimed they were informed that there were "no refunds".
However, the shop said that change-of-mind did not entitle the customer to a refund, and alternatively, offered to exchange the item.
Galway Beo spoke with the store, who stated that while "some products may be cheaper online, [they] weren't in the business of sending customers to shop elsewhere. No business is going to tell people 'it's cheaper online.'"
They said the individual was "welcome to exchange the goods for something else but that we don't do cash refunds for these cases."
The shop's offer of an exchange is a gesture that extends beyond what is written out in law with regards to the case of a change of mind.
Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) guidelines around returning goods say: "If you simply change your mind about something you bought in a shop and decide you don’t want to keep it, you do not have any rights under consumer law.
"Some shops offer to accept returns and give you an exchange or refund within a certain amount of time after the purchase. This is shop policy and a gesture of goodwill and not a legal requirement."
