A shop in Co Galway has confirmed that last night's €500,000 winning EuroMillions Plus ticket was sold in their store.
The golden ticket for the life-changing top prize was sold yesterday in O'Toole's Supervalu in Tuam, Co Galway.
They wrote on Facebook: "Congratulations to the lucky winner who bought their ticket in our store."
Meanwhile there was no winner of the overall prize in the main EuroMillions draw which totalled a whopping €130 million.
However one lucky Galway punter was the only winner of the Plus draw, and will now take home a cool half-million to ease the pain of lockdown 3.0.
The winning numbers in the Plus draw on Friday were 07, 27, 30, 31 and 46.
In total, over 91,000 players in Ireland won prizes in last night's EuroMillions.
But while one fortunate westerner comes away with a whopping cheque, they were unable to find out about it via the National Lottery's website due to technical issues.
The National Lottery apologised to customers after its app and website dropped due to difficulties online.
A message on the website read: "While our retail partners are operating as normal, unfortunately we are experiencing some technical difficulties with our App and our website.
"We are working to fix this as quickly as we can. We are sorry for any inconvenience."
